The John Carter Brown Library is pleased to announce that the 2025 Bromsen Lecture will be delivered by Professor Bianca Premo, Distinguished University Professor of History at Florida International University (FIU). The lecture, titled "Children in the Early Modern Spanish Empire: Ethical Lessons from the Present," will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 5 p.m. 

The JCB hosts the Bromsen Lecture annually in honor of Maury Bromsen, collector, bookdealer, scholar, and longtime friend to the Library.

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
