The Age of Spanish American Revolutions: Spanish South America

This exhibition is the second in a series commemorating the Spanish American wars of independence. The first exhibition, "The Age of Spanish American Revolutions: Setting the Stage," ran from March to September, 2009 and focused on the inter-imperial conflicts and Atlantic revolutions that culminated in Napoleon’s invasion of the Iberian peninsula in 1808. The current exhibition focuses on the wars of independence in South America.
