Before joining the JCB, I was head of collection development at the Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection (University of Texas-Austin). I received my PhD in Spanish American Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. I have published two novels, three books for children, and the YA book Mi abuelo fue agente secreto. I translated into Spanish Nicolas Grimaldi’s Bref traité du désenchantement, and co-edited (with Julianne Gilland) the collective volume A Library for the Americas. The Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection. At the JCB, I work on acquisitions and exhibitions, and collaborate with fellows whose research deals with Latin America.
